![]() ![]() Together Tom and Jonella, who he affectionately called JJ, raised 5 daughters, all of whom survive. Tom was a true and loyal friend and had many lifelong friendships. His one liners and quick wit made those around him enjoy his company. He would be the first to strike up a conversation with any stranger and soon they would be buddies. He was one of those people who knew someone wherever he went. Anyone who knew Tom, knew of his love of sports and his love of joking with people. He was a fair man with a great mind for finances and always served in a fashion of acting on what was in the best interest of others, rather than himself. He was active in Woodmore Athletic Boosters and oversaw several of their projects and fundraisers. He served on Woodville Village Council for 5 years, Woodmore School Board for 8 years and Sandusky County School Board for 12 years. Tom was a civic minded person who tried to volunteer and help with charitable projects. He played slow pitch softball well into his 40’s, primarily for the Luckey Farmers team. He also organized and managed the “Big 64” softball tournament in Woodville for many years. For 26 years, he spent each weekend officiating high school and college basketball games. In addition to his full-time employment, Tom satisfied his love of sports by becoming a basketball official. He built over 30 homes during the next 20 years. After retiring from Brown Supply in 1992, Tom was Co-Owner of Blake Realty and Partner in Tomark Development building custom and spec homes. He was an honest and natural salesperson and made many friends throughout his career. ![]() For 32 years, he traveled Northwest Ohio selling janitorial supplies to schools, hospitals and other businesses. Tom started his work career as a tile cutter and layer then later became a sales rep for Brown Supply Company out of Lima, Ohio. ![]() They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before Jonella’s passing in 2009. After an honorable discharge, Tom married the former Jonella J. Upon graduation, Tom joined the Army and was a member of their baseball team. He was a 1947 graduate of Risingsun High School where he was very active in whatever sport was in season. Tom was born in Fremont, Ohio on June 7, 1929, to Edward and Pansy (Zender) Reineck. He was surrounded by family and wonderful care givers. Reineck, 93, of Woodville, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023, in his apartment at Genoa Assisted Living. ![]()
